God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me.."

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

We should consider all of our friends a blessing.
Send this to a friend today just to let them know you
are thinking of them and that they are a joy in your life.

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end.
It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends.
But the treasure inside for you to see,
Is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.

Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you...

Cara menghindari:
[lil/]

1000 Marbles

The older I get, the more I enjoy Saturday mornings. Perhaps it’s the quiet solitude that comes with being the first to rise or maybe it’s the unbounded joy of not having to be at work. Either way, the first few hours of a Saturday morning are most enjoyable.

A few weeks ago, I was shuffling toward the basement with a steaming cup of coffee in one hand and the morning paper in the other. What began as a typical Saturday morning, turned into one of those lessons that life seems to hand you from time to time.

I turned the dial up into the phone portion of the band on my ham radio in order to listen to a Saturday morning swap net. Along the way, I came across an older sounding chap with a tremendous signal and a golden voice. You know the kind. He sounded like he should be in the broadcasting business. He was telling whomever he was talking with something about “a thousand marbles”.

I was intrigued and stopped to listen to what he had to say. “Well, Tom, it sure sounds like you’re busy with your job. I’m sure they pay you well but it’s a shame you have to be away from home and your family so much. Hard to believe a young fellow should have to work sixty or seventy hours a week to make ends meet. Too bad you missed your daughter’s dance recital.”

He continued, “Let me tell you something, Tom, something that has helped me keep a good perspective on my own priorities.” And that’s when he began to explain his theory of “a thousand marbles”.

“You see, I sat down one day and did a little arithmetic. The average person lives about seventy-five years. I know, some live more and some live less, but on average, folks live about seventy-five years.” “Now then, I multiplied 75 times 52 and I came up with 3900, which is the number of Saturdays that the average person has in their entire lifetime. Now stick with me, Tom, I’m getting to the important part.”

“It took me until I was fifty-five years old to think about all this in any detail” he went on, “and by that time I had lived through over twenty-eight hundred Saturdays. I got to thinking that if I lived to be seventy-five, I only had about a thousand of them left to enjoy.”

“So I went to a toy store and bought every single marble they had. I ended up having to visit three toy stores to round-up 1000 marbles. I took them home and put them inside of a large, clear plastic container right here next to my gear. Every Saturday since then, I have taken one marble out and thrown it away.”

“I found that by watching the marbles diminish, I focused more on the really important things in life. There is nothing like watching your time here on this earth run out to help get your priorities straight.”

“Now let me tell you one last thing before I sign-off with you and take my lovely wife out for breakfast. This morning, I took the very last marble out of the container. I figure if I make it until next Saturday, then I have been given a little extra time. And the one thing we can all use is a little more time.”

“It was nice to meet you, Tom. I hope you spend more time with your family and I hope to meet you again here on the band. 75 year Old Man, this is D9NZQ, clear and going QRT, good morning!”

You could have heard a pin drop on the band when this fellow signed off. I guess he gave us all a lot to think about. I had planned to work on the antenna that morning and then I was going to meet up with a few hams to work on the next club newsletter. Instead, I went upstairs and woke my wife up with a kiss. “C’mon honey, I’m taking you and the kids to breakfast.”

“What brought this on?” she asked with a smile. “Oh, nothing special, it’s just been a long time since we spent a Saturday together with the kids.” “Hey, can we stop at a toy store while we’re out? I need to buy some marbles.”

Cynics

All of us has many friends. Some friends are very supporting, kind hearted, patient, encouraging. As the opposite we may have one or two friends who are cynics. They just always see the cloud in the shiny days. They are so sensitive that they can see things differently and make our days worse.
I found some words about cynics
here
and I laughed when I read it. Yes, it’s true, I know some of them and how they react just exactly the same with the proverbs below:

A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin.
Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956) American journalist, satirist and social critic.

The cynic is one who never sees a good quality in a man, and never fails to see a bad one. He is the human owl, vigilant in darkness and blind to light, mousing for vermin, and never seeing noble game.
Henry Ward Beecher (1813-1887) American politician.

A cynic can chill and dishearten with a single word.
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) U.S. poet, essayist and lecturer.

Cynicism is cheap -- you can buy it at any Monoprix store -- it's built into all poor-quality goods.
Graham Greene (1904-1991) English writer.

A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing.
Unknown Source

In my opinion, to be a cynic is just so easy, but it’s a struggle and a challenge for each of to encourage each other to do the good and positive things.

Kdrama: My Boss My Hero

Cast:
Jeong Jun-Ho as Gye Doo-Shik
Jeong Wung-in as Kim Sang-do
Oh Seung-eun as Yoon-Joo

I have mentioned in my previous post that the Japanese drama has adopted the Korean version with the same title. With almost the same story: both gangsters are force back to school to get their diploma. This original version offers more violence compared to the Japanese version. The other differences are:
Korean version:
. Kye Doo-sik is the second man-in-command of a mob gang.
. Kye Doo-sik builds love relationship with his classmate Yoon-joo.
. The school is a high-class school which is bad managed. The parents routinely bribe the school principal to ensure their children get good marks, the school principal also does some sexual harassment to female teachers. The principal able to do to because he is backed by a local mob gang. The school also adopts brutal education system which a teacher punishes the late students every morning.
. Most funny parts caused by Doo-sik’s underlings, Kim Sang-do (who posed as Doo-sik’s uncle and falls in love with Doo-sik’s teacher) and Dae Ka-ri, (a dumb underling who always give bad advice to Doo-sik)

Japanese version:
. Sakaki Makio is the son of the current boss of a yakuza.
. Sakaki Makio is in love with his class mate, but no relationship between them, also his teacher Minami Yuriko likes him but there is no relationship between them too.
. St. Agnes is a nice school with all the teachers are clean. Example a male teacher when Makio offered him money to help Makio in his exam, the teacher refused it. Well, the teacher misunderstood of Makio’s intention.
. Sakaki Makio is the center of the funny scenes.

Ending: It’ happy ending, Doo-sik successfully complete his task. There is sequel My Boss My Hero II available.

I’ve watch Doo-sik’s other drama, he is good in acting.

If Someone Love You….

Seseorang yang mencintai kamu,
tidak bisa memberikan alasan mengapa ia mencintaimu
Dia hanya tau, di mata dia, kamulah satu satunya.
Seseorang yang mencintai kamu,
sebenarnya selalu membuatmu
marah / gila / jengkel / stress

Ia ingin memberikanmu suatu kejutan,
percayalah dia dapat melakukannya.

Seseorang yang mencintai kamu,
mungkin tidak bisa mengingat kejadian / kesempatan
istimewa seperti perayaan hari ulang tahunnya,

I Love You pada situasi yang special,

I like the acting of Kim Jae Won and Eugene. Their characters are developed along the story, and they become more responsible and loving each other. There are many funny scenes before the sad part of Shinbi's illness. Shinbi is sooo cute, even the baby Shinbi is so adorable.

This drama about two families that has accidentally switched their daughter at the hospital several years ago. When the truth is revealed 14 years later the melow parts began. In other side Shin-ae who is always jealous of Eun-suh now get to the position she wants.

Ten years later. Tae-Suhk is Song Seung-heon's friend. Tae-Suhk is rich and own a hotel, where Eun-suh works for. To make it worse, Seung-heon has fiancee, Yu-mi who love him so much that she couldn't live without him. In the other side Eun-suh is dying from leukimia.

This drama is good, the actings are good. For the story I think I read it in a Japanese comic 'Serial Cantik' but I forgot the title. It's about brother and sister who fall in love and they are not actual brother and sister.
Won Bin and Song Seung Hun are so HANDSOME! Song Hye Kyo is wonderful and so beautiful. If you looking for love drama this is a sad love story.

Two Hospitals in Two Weeks :P

Last week when I had symthoms of cough with Phlegm (just knew this terminology) I went to hospital in Ramkhamhaeng area, the doctor told me that I got SINU$, and he gave me a lot of medicine, which is not free but paid by my insurance policy. The doctor is a specialist doctor for Ear Nose and Throat, unfortunately speak very poor English. Or if I'm see it from very positive view that he was not well too therefore he just couldn't explain well why I got sinus and what caused it. The doctor which I assume is a senior doctor because he seems a bit senior than me, much more senior, from his hair.

The next day I searched in Internet about SINUS, and there are three kind of SINUS, which the doctor failed to tell me which kind of SINUS I had, if any, which later proven to be WRONG: I don't have and free from ANY SINUS < -- Thanks Jesus.

Some symptoms has been healed, but cough.
Now even worse, so I decide to go to another hospital near Ramkhamhaeng, with the orange color building. This time I'm not using my insurance card, but my social security card.

The service is good, only the patients is so many that I spent more than two hours for everything. The examination only took 15 minutes. The doctor is the same with last time when I got diarhea. She is very good and able to communicate in English well. She said that I'm fine only common cough, nothing serious. wow, how my heart is so delighted! Since last week the man doctor told me that I got this 'SNS' thing I felt that my body has weakened ... but now the doctor said I'm just fine and give me another medicine and to stop some medicines from the previous hospital too.

Beside checked my throat, she asked me to take deep breath and listened with her stethoscope. And I could asked some questions which she answered clearly. This procedure was not done by the doctor of the first hosptal.

Is this is the doctor or the hospital?
Communication is very important. The hospital should have its doctors to have good communication not only their technical skills.

Dangerous Cooking Habits - Part II

The second part of last post.
--------
Microwaving food in containers

Why is it dangerous?
In the first article about cooking dangers, it was pointed out that the radiation from microwaves has not been proven to be particularly dangerous in itself, providing that the appliance is in good working order. Rather, the danger lies in the types of containers you microwave your food in.

Certain plasticizers, chemicals designed to make rigid plastic more pliable, may act as endocrine disrupters. They may mimic or compete with human hormones, which could affect fertility or cancer risk. While more research is required to prove this link, it is best to avoid microwaving plastic containers that aren't specifically designed for microwave use.

There are also concerns regarding Styrofoam and other materials such as paper coffee cups. When microwaved at high temperatures, paper and adhesives on the packaging may cause dangerous components to "leak" into food at excessive levels. These substances may also heighten cancer risk and have other negative health effects.

How to minimize risk?
Never use packaging cartons for heating or cooking food in the microwave unless specifically directed on the packaging to do so. Always use containers designed for microwave use and don't overheat; to ensure the container doesn't melt.

Acrylamide in cooked vegetables and meat

Why is it dangerous?
Recently, the World Health Organization discovered that cooked vegetables contain significant levels of acrylamide, a potent nerve toxin in humans that some believe affects male reproduction and causes cancer and birth defects in animals.

The WHO was surprised by this finding and explained that the pollutant probably arose from cooking the vegetables. However, some critics claim the WHO isn't disclosing all the information behind this finding -- that polyacrylamide , a substance added to commercial herbicides, releases acrylamide when exposed to light and heat. Therefore, it's possible that vegetables treated with these types of herbicides could release acrylamide when exposed to heat during cooking.

Interestingly enough, acrylamide has also been found in meat, poultry and fish that have been cooked at high temperatures for long periods of time.

How to minimize risk?
Avoid cooking your food at very high temperatures. Boiling, steaming and stewing expose foods to temperatures under 100°, whereas microwaving, baking and roasting can bring that temperature up to 200°.

Overcooking your food

Why is it dangerous?
Beyond the acrylamide connections, other epidemiologic studies suggest that there is a relationship between certain methods of cooking and various forms of cancer and heart disease. One study found that people who ate their beef medium-well or well-done had more than three times the risk of stomach cancer than those who ate their beef rare or medium-rare. Other studies have shown that a high intake of barbecued, fried or well-done meat is associated with an increased risk of pancreatic, colorectal and breast cancer.

In fact, over-cooking any type of food can be dangerous. The higher the cooking temperature, the longer food stays in the stomach and the more difficult it becomes to digest. This makes it harder for the food to be absorbed and to function normally in the cells. Certain cells can then become deficient or toxic, which can lead to a variety of health problems.

How to minimize risk?
Try to use cooking methods that do not expose foods to very high temperatures.

Bad food combinations

Why are they dangerous?
Combining foods rich in nitrates (compounds of nitrogen and oxygen found in many everyday food items) with those rich in amines (organic compounds that contain nitrogen), as is seen in a spinach and fish dish, can form "ethylating compounds" when cooked.

It's believed that these compounds are dangerous because they get inside the body and cause DNA damage. This may lead to mutations associated with cancer development in the future This discovery is recent and researchers are still trying to find ways to assess the real risk such compounds pose.

How to minimize risk?
Don't alarm yourself with this one yet -- the real risks of these substances are still being studied.

Dangerous Cooking Habits - part I

You are what you eat.
We eat food everyday every time, it's necessary to take care and choose healthy food. Some bad habits about food we must avoided are as below:

----
Too much salt
An excess of sodium in a diet can raise blood pressure. That alone may cause numerous other conditions, some of which have permanent consequences. The American Heart Association recommends 2.4 grams of salt per day. More than that may lead to strokes and kidney problems.

Salt hardens the arteries, so if a person happens to have high cholesterol, the problem can compound. Getting off the habit of salty food can also be frustrating; some claim that salt is addictive (ever see people who put salt on their food before tasting it?), so start early and avoid the "white stuff."

Alzheimer's-causing foods
The origins of Alzheimer's disease are still poorly understood, though one thing is certain -- prevention can start early. Studies are sketchy on the matter but here is what scientists have discovered so far:

Aluminum seems to play an important role in Alzheimer's. The metal accumulates in the brain and causes dementia in later parts of life. Some studies have shown that pickles and cheese may promote a buildup of aluminum in the body. That doesn't mean these foods "cause" the condition, but clinical studies have shown a link between them and aluminum, and how the body absorbs aluminum.

Other suspected comestibles include: drinking water containing aluminum, processed foods (cake mix, frozen dough), aluminum-containing antacids, and baking powder.

Dangerous chemicals
Drink less decaffeinated carbonated beverages as some contain Xylene and Toluene, two chemicals that can be harmful to the nervous system and cause changes in the liver and kidneys. Xylene and Toluene are mainly found in gasoline, paint, varnish, and other nasty fumes, but most sodas also contain them in small amounts.

Even though studies have yet to show that these agents are harmful in carbonated drinks (we know they are bad in paints and solvents), consumers still need to know that cola contains such chemicals.

Consume fewer foods with Aspartame (artificial sweeteners) because they may cause some forms of brain damage. A study in Norway conducted on seven-day-old rats confirmed that artificial sweeteners, like the ones contained in diet drinks, could damage and kill brain cells. 0.06 mg/ml of Aspartame administered for four days was enough to show significant results. It should also be noted that a can of diet cola contains 0.24 mg/ml of artificial sweetener.

No need for alarm, though, because it takes much less of anything to affect baby rats, and results in the short run are negligible. But scientists advise that small children should not consume diet cola since receptors and the synapses at that age are still developing.

Avoid aluminum utensils
As stated above, aluminum plays an important role in the development Alzheimer's. It's not quite clear if the metal has a direct effect on us or needs other agents to be absorbed into the nervous system (the body tends to fight it), but one thing is for sure: using aluminum pots and pans doesn't help. The same can be said of canned foods and drinks.

A good cooking tip -- if one owns aluminum utensils -- is not to store or leave food inside pots and pans for a long time. Some like to store provisions in the very pots they cook in, but this practice should be avoided with aluminum paraphernalia.

Styrofoam dangers
Do not microwave food in Styrofoam containers because they can melt. The material is quite safe (unless consumed) but since it is made of petroleum, it's carcinogenic by definition. Even though a container may look intact, parts of it can melt away when heated.

Whatever you do, do not consume food when a Styrofoam container is visibly melted; use Tupperware instead. Storing food in Styrofoam is okay, though; the material is non-biodegradable.

Avoid food with Monosodium Glutamate (MSG); it may cause Alzheimer's disease, learning disorders and Huntington's chorea. Glutamate is a widely criticized popular food additive usually found in bouillon, whey protein, soy sauce, and pork flavoring. The FDA affirms that MSG is safe, but a 1980 study done on lab animals showed that it damages brain cells.

It is believed that glutamate -- a kind of amino acid -- is used to stimulate taste buds, making food tastier (I don't know what's scarier: the possible negative effects or the fact that we don't really know why people add it to food).

Open-flame grills
All men love barbecues but too much of them can be bad. Mom was right (sort of); burnt food can cause cancer so do not eat open-flame grilled food too often. But don't panic just yet; look at the details.

Studies on animals have shown that charred and burnt meats are carcinogenic, and so is the smoke generated by burnt fat that drips from meat. On a more reassuring note, Alexis Currie-Williams, Nutrition and Physical Activity Manager for the American Cancer Society, states that, "while grilling foods may increase the risk for cancer, it's not at the top the cancer-causing list." In other words, grilling is bad, but not very bad, especially if proper cooking measures are taken.

When grilling food from now on, don't:

# Grill food too close to the flames.
# Use fatty meat or leave excess fat on the meat -- it will result in the food
# being smoldered by fat-smoke. Char the meat.

GM Foods
Avoid Genetically Modified foods for now. The GM food industry is still in its infancy, so we don't know how such foods can affect people. In rare cases, allergic reactions, nerve damage and poisoning have all been reported.

Food makers must inform people which products are genetically modified so people could at least know what "can" have dangerous effects. Canola seeds, soya and maize are some of the most widely modified foods.

Listeria
Cooking foods properly, keeping the kitchen area and utensils clean to avoid cross-contamination, drinking pasteurized milk, and washing food before eating are all practices that can prevent Listeria.

Listeria is a pathogen that makes people ill and causes meningitis. Vegetables, milk, cheese, meat, and seafood should all be handled carefully and properly.

Mushroom risks
North Americans normally tend to avoid picking mushrooms themselves, but Eastern Europeans and Asians enjoy picking their own shrooms.

This practice can be dangerous when the same wild species of mushrooms are consumed on different continents. Some mushrooms are safe in one part of the world, but can be poisonous in another, even though they are the same species.

Microwave risks
Possible microwave risks include increased LDL cholesterol levels (the bad kind). The study was conducted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University Institute of Biochemistry.

On the other hand, most national safety agencies maintain that microwaves are safe. My suggestion is to use microwave ovens as little as possible. I myself don't even own one, yet I still manage to survive.

IRC Friends

In the period of 1998-1999 I was addicted with ICQ and mIRC. Both just like today’s MSN or Yahoo Messenger which we can interact online with our friends.

IRC in mIRC stands for Internet Relay Chat which M stands for ‘moo’ or MU as explained by Khaled Mardam-Bey. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIRC. it is said that mIRC is very popular which is downloaded 9.129.578 times from CNET’s per October 2007.

Term IRC means a virtual meeting place where people from all over the world can meet and talk and share ideas. To use it, beside the PC or laptop and internet connection we need to install the software which can be downloaded online and free from mirc.com http://www.mirc.com/get.html. The official website also provide instructions how to install mIRC.

The users able to participate in channels, make a channel, or even chat in private window. We can choose nickname and the mIRC will tell us if the nickname is already taken, so we need to change it. Sometimes if the member of channels uses some foul language the operator of the channel can kick them out or ban them. Some channels have bots operator, which is a software application that run automated, simple and repetitive tasks over the internet.

Usually I join the channels for Indonesian or using Indonesian language. We also made a channel #tabok mostly are the members of #bethany. I remember some of my friends mie-ayam, kentang, lontong, sinichi (Medan). One of them is my friend in our office at that time, we were at the different building. :D

It’s a good experience using mIRC. Love those school-old-days, now that it’s not so widely used among our friends I guess I have lost them all.

The Greatest Pain in Life

*** Received from a friend -- wow what a rich girl I am, having so many friends who care about me, thank you my friends ***
-------

The greatest pain in life
is not to die,
but to be ignored.

To lose the person you love so much
to another who doesn’t care at all.
To have someone you care so about so
much throw a party…
and not tell you about it.

When your favorite person on earth
neglects to invite you to his graduation.
To have people think that you don’t care.
The greatest pain in life,
is not to die,
but to be forgotten.

To be left in the dust after another’s great achievement.
To never get a call from a friend, just saying “hi”.
When you show someone your innermost thoughts
and they laugh in your face.

For friends to always be
too busy to console you
when you need someone to lift your spirits.
When it seems like the only person who cares about you,
is you.

Life is full of pain,
but does it ever get better?
Will people ever care about each other,
and make time for those who are in need?

Each of us has a part to play
in this great show we call life.
Each of us has a duty to mankind
to tell our friends we love them.

If you do not care about your friends
you will not be punished.
You will simply be ignored…
forgotten…
as you have done to others.

This poem was written by a young girl who committed suicide some years ago. Perhaps if the people surrounding her had shown a little more love, and had paid more attention to her, her death could have been prevented. Remember that when going through life, you can’t judge a sad, lonely, or suicidal person by their facial expression. You need to get to know each person you come in contact with, cherish your friendship with them, and show them that you care.

1960

*** This article I got from my friend. I am blessed and want to share with you, may God bless abundantly as what He has done for me day by day. ***
---------
In 1960, I woke up one morning with six hungry babies and just 75 cents in my pocket. Their father was gone. The boys ranged from 3 months to 7 years; their sister was 2. Their Dad had never been much more than a presence they feared.

Whenever they heard his tires crunch on the gravel driveway they would scramble to hide under their beds.

He did manage to leave $15 a week to buy groceries.

Now that he had decided to leave, there would be no more beat-ings, but no food either.

If there was a welfare system in effect in southern Indiana at that time, I certainly knew nothing about it. I scrubbed the kids until they looked brand new and then put on my best homemade dress, loaded them into the rusty old '51 Chevy and drove off to find a job.

The seven of us went to every factory, store and restaurant in our small town. No luck.

The kids stayed crammed into the car and tried to be quiet while I tried to convince whomever would listen that I was willing to learn or do anything. I had to have a job.

Still no luck. The last place we went to, just a few miles out of town, was an old Root Beer Barrel drive-in that had been converted to a truck stop. It was called the Big Wheel.

An old lady named Granny owned the place and she peeked out of the window from time to time at all those kids. She needed someone on the graveyard shift, 11 at night until 7 in the morning. She paid 65 cents an hour, and I could start that night.

I raced home and called the teenager down the street that baby-sat for people. I bargained with her to come and sleep on my sofa for a dollar a night. She could arrive with her pajamas on and the kids would already be asleep. This seemed like a good
arrangement to her, so we made a deal.

That night when the little ones and I knelt to say our prayers, we all thanked God for finding Mommy a job. And so I started at the Big Wheel.

When I got home in the mornings I woke the baby-sitter up and sent her home with one dollar of my tip money -- fully half of what I averaged every night. As the weeks went by, heating bills added a strain to my meager wage.

The tires on the old Chevy had the consistency of penny balloons and began to leak. I had to fill them with air on the way to work and again every morning before I could go home.

One bleak fall morning, I dragged myself to the car to go home and found four tires in the back seat. New tires! There was no note, no nothing, just those beautiful brand new tires. Had angels taken up residence in Indiana, I wondered?

I made a deal with the local service station. In exchange for his mounting the new tires, I would clean up his office. I remember it took me a lot longer to scrub his floor than it did for him to do the tires.

I was now working six nights instead of five and it still wasn't enough. Christmas was coming and I knew there would be no money for toys for the kids.

I found a can of red paint and started repairing and painting some old toys. Then hid them in the basement so there would be something for Santa to deliver on Christmas morning. Clothes were a worry, too. I was sewing patches on top of patches on the boys pants and soon they would be too far gone to repair.

On Christmas Eve the usual customers were drinking coffee in the Big Wheel. These were the truckers, Les, Frank and Jim, and a state trooper named Joe.

A few musicians were hanging around after a gig at the Legion and were dropping nickels in the pinball machine. The regulars all just sat around and talked through the wee hours of the morning and then left to get home before the sun came up.

When it was time for me to go home at 7 on Christmas morning, to my amazement, my old battered Chevy was filled full to the top with boxes of all shapes and sizes. I quickly opened the driver's
side door, crawled inside and kneeled in the front facing the back seat.

Reaching back, I pulled off the lid of the top box. Inside was a whole case of little blue jeans, sizes 2-10! I looked inside another box: It was full of shirts to go with the jeans. Then I peeked inside some of the other boxes. There was candy and nuts and bananas and bags of groceries.

There was an enormous ham for baking, and canned vegetables and potatoes. There was pudding and Jell-O and cookies, pie filling and flour. There was a whole bag of laundry supplies and cleaning items.

And there were five toy trucks and one beautiful little doll.

As I drove back through empty streets as the sun slowly rose on the most amazing Christmas Day of my life, I was sobbing with gratitude. And I will never forget the joy on the faces of my little ones that precious morning.

Yes, there were angels in Indiana that long-ago December. And they all hung out at the Big Wheel truck stop ..

THE POWER OF PRAYER. I believe that God only gives three answers to prayer:

1. 'Yes!'
2. 'Not yet.'
3. 'I have something better in mind.'

God still sits on the throne; the devil is a liar. You may be going through a tough time right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that you cannot imagine.

My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you.

Please pass this to at least four people you want to be blessed and a copy back to me.

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.

Here is the prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and e-mail buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Amen.

PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON

**Got this from my friend too, not my creation**
-------
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Sleep late or skipping breakfast? Must read

I got this from my friend, hope this will be useful for you.

--------
Good rest and sound sleep is very Important... if u don't sleep well, the toxic in your body will accumulate..
Affecting your health and your mood...

The main causes of liver damage are:
1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to "schedule."

Because:
Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.

Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

The Most Dangerous Potato Chips to Eat

I got this warning from my friend this morning.

I’m not a junk food fan, but potato is my favorite food. Fried potato ie French fries or home made fries. In Indonesian culinary there is perkedel, made from potato. It’s very delicious. I like potato chips also, even not often and I can live without it. Just, a few months ago I ate 3 packs of Lays potato chips because I was with my friends at that time and everybody were eating some junk food. Ooo, it’s disappoint me that I have consumed ‘unhealty’ potato chips.

Here is the article included Dr. Joseph Mercola’s comment, source : You can check the source at here

Public knowledge of the serious dangers found in potato chips may finally be surfacing. The California-based Environmental Law Foundation (ELF) has filed notices with the state's attorney general against potato chip manufacturers:

# Lay's potato chip maker PepsiCo Inc.
# Pringles maker Proctor & Gamble Co.
# Cape Cod potato chip parent Lance Inc.
# Kettle Chips maker Kettle Foods Inc.

... that would require them to place labels on their products warning consumers about the high levels of acrylamide found inside. Acrylamide is formed when starchy foods are baked or fried at high temperatures and is considered a cancer-causing chemical by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.

Manufacturers who sell their products without such warnings are in violation of California law, California Proposition 65.

The attorney general's office has 60 days to decide to pursue the case; if the state declines, the ELF will file lawsuits against the companies.

What Do the Chip Makers Have to Say?

The reaction from the chip makers was on the defensive ... though the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) wavering position on the dangers of acrylamide certainly doesn't help.

Perhaps the FDA should review the report developed by the ELF that listed just how far various chip brands exceeded the state's required warning levels for acrylamide. The offenders include:
# Cape Cod Robust Russet: 910 times
# Kettle Chips (lightly salted): 505 times
# Kettle Chips (honey dijon): 495 times
# Pringles Snack Stacks (pizza-flavored): 170 times
# Lay's Baked: 150 times

# Dr. Mercola's Comment:

I suspect nearly everyone reading this enjoys the taste of potato chips. However, they are clearly one of the most toxic processed foods you can eat. Do you really want to trade a few moments of taste pleasure for cancer?

Potato chips are loaded with acrylamide. This is only one of the many side effects that occur when food is highly processed; for instance, using high temperatures to cook foods can contribute to the formation of carcinogenic substances. Another similar example occurs when meats are cooked at high temperatures. In this case, heterocyclic amines can be formed.

Ideally, you should consume foods that are minimally processed to avoid these types of toxic byproducts. I assure you that there are many others, most of which have yet to be discovered. Acrylamides have only been known for a few years and many experts discounted them when they were first discovered.

In the best case, over half of your foods should be uncooked and eaten in the raw state. My diet is typically about 80 percent to 90 percent raw foods, and I find it is one of the major ways that I am able to remain healthy and avoid all sorts of health problems and challenges.

It may take you awhile to have more than 50 percent of your diet raw but start by throwing out the obvious and well-known processed foods that there is absolutely no excuse to consume:
# Doughnuts
# French fries and potato chips
# All sodas

Japanese drama: My Boss My Hero (2006)

If you are looking for a very funny comedy drama, this is the one. I watched it alone so I laughed alone too :D :D :P. I like Sakaki “Tornado” Makio’s face expression, very funny. And unlike other gangster he likes pudding. On the right picture is Nagase Tomoya who played as Sakaki Makio.

Actually this drama is adopted from a Korean drama “My Boss My Hero” with almost the same story and setting, involving the high school, teacher, yakuza or gangster. A yakuza Sakaki “Tornado” Makio (Nagase Tomoya) who returns to school by the leader’s force (Makio’s father), posing as a 17 year-old student. He must acts like a student, and avoid to be seen as a yakuza. If his identity is revealed he will be expelled from school and the position of 3rd boss of Kantou Sharp Fang will be given to his younger brother, Sakaki Mikio (Kikawada Masaya)
He is helped by his loyal ‘younger brother’ Manabe Kazuya (Tanaka Koki). At first Makio even cannot write his name in Kanji, but then he became a class leader of class 3A he got more exciting of the school life. Together with some friends they can win the sport competition and manage to perform in the school cultural day. As for his study, his beautiful teacher Minami Yuriko (Kashii Yu) who willing to help him and also falls in love with him.

I am disappointed with the ending, Makio "Makky" should be with his teacher Minami, but it wasn't. :(

I am K.O.

Since yesterday, I have sore throat. It's painful in all my body.

I contacted my sister in Indonesia to get the traditional recipe for this. She told me to drink fresh milk (cow's milk not bean's milk), and drink water+ salt before breakfast, which has been prepared from night before. So yesterday I bought a big packs of Thai Danish milk the red color (fresh and plain) and I drank 2 boxes of them.

It's better now, the fever is reduced but my head still aching and spinning.

Still feel lazy to interact with people. Lazy to smile, the world so cloudy, but not rainy yet :D :D :D

Want to take rest but last week I already took sick leave to recover from my headache and stomachache.

Guess my face is green and my eyes are red, my tongue is blue. HIIiiii

I Thank You Jesus

Yes, God is good all the time, God is good.
When I am in a good condition where I'm able to do things I want I will surrender less to God. More or less I have my 'own power' maybe compared to my friends, or other people. I have something I proud of, maybe my job title, my education, my family, my social status or anything.

Only when we are in our worst condition we can really say 'God is good'.
As I wrote in previous posts I had some difficulties for me, a condition that I can not do anything only surrender to God while my flesh wants her own path also. It's like a battle in my world, in my sould, in my mind and in my heart.
These week I really get the 'God is good', He give me peace in the worst condition.
That's the meaning of peace, to be contented in the seems-lack situation.

Totally believed in Him, that He is God who has wonderful plan in my life, to bring me from glory to glory, not limited by my limited mind. Thank you Jesus.

IMPOSSIBLE LOVE

Shanti hurries to get inside her bedroom, she needs to change her clothes, or at least to comb her hair. She puts some powder. Ah, it’s better now, looks fresh. Soon she comes out and finds her friend, Bro Yun. Well exactly he is much older than her.

Bro Yun is a university student. A bright student wearing thick glasses. Behind the glasses are a pair of sharp eyes.

Every week on Saturday Bro Yun will come and pick her up for the Youth’s service. She always ready before the time comes. But today, it’s not Saturday and Bro Yun comes. She was helping her mother to sew some clothes. It’s not pleasant to be seen in that condition, sitting on the floor with bending back on the sewing machine. The pieces of cloth are scattered everywhere.

“Hi Shanti, how are you, are you busy?”
“Not so busy, Bro. How are you? You don’t have a class today?”
“No, now is my summer holiday. I just on my way to fetch something nearby here. Do I disturb you?”
“No, not at all. I just helping my mother with some sewing. Sorry about the cloths, it’s everywhere.” Shanti is ashamed when saying this.
“Please sit down Bro.” Shanti pulled a chair for Sun. She doesn’t know that her younger sister at the same time also pulling another chair behind Shanti.
“Thank you Shanti.”
“Ouch what happened?” Shanty falls down. She had tried to sit on the chair that has been moved by her mother. And everybody was laughing.

‘Oh this is embarrassing, how could this happen now in front of Bro Yun, I’m gonna kill myself then … oh oh oh what should I do?’ thought Shanti.

“I’m sorry Shanti, I didn’t know that you would sit there” her younger sister says.
“It’s OK, I was careless.” He just grinned with wide smile. ‘oh what does think about me then?’

“Are you OK Shanti? Oh, you look pale.”
“Yes, I’m fine, thank you.”
“Is there some news brother?”
“Oh, yes. Next month we will have a field trip to seaside. It will be a full day trip. Are you interested to join?”
“Oh really? It’s wonderful, I’m very interested.”
“Well then, next week I will give you the official letter for your parents to let them know and asking for permission”.
“Are you joining also?”
“Of course, I’m the committee member, I will go” Shanti’s heart is beating so fast, dug dug dug dug.
“Great, I will enjoy the trip” she already thinks how wonderful to have time with Bro Yun on the seaside.
“How is your school? When is your exam?”
“It’s boring. Some homework and reading the book. End of this there will be final exam for this semester.”
“Good luck. It’s good”
“Huh?”
“Yes, so that after exam you can have good time at the trip. You must study and prepare well for the exam.”
“I know, I will. But some subjects I don’t understand and it’s too difficult for me.”
“If it’s about Mathematic and Physics I can help you, since now I’m in holiday.”
“Thank you bro, I will need your help.”
---
Since that day then Shanti always think about him. He is very nice to her. Always pay attention and show care she needs. She has lost her father when she was 5. After knew him last year she felts a warm love from a man.

LOVE no comment

Once upon time in Indonesia ... there was a beautiful girl with great character. Her name was 'CICI CICI' aka CC she was very talented in arts. She was so good in acting, singing and design. She lived in a city called 'BUNGA' aka flower.

A handsome man, called 'Jaka Jaka' aka JJ was a very handsome man. He came from a rich, respectable family who owned large properties in East Java. He lived in a city called 'KUMBANG' aka bee.

JJ's parents urged him to get married soon. He was 30 and his parents were worry that he couldn't make 'BEFORE 30' success in his life. They wanted grandchildren to inherit the properties and honored-family name.

In a festival the citizen of BUNGA and KUMBANG gathered for a royal ceremony. It was a very big celebration on the year of big harvest of RICE, Indonesian primary food. Of course the Indonesian eats rice with some vegetables, meat and fish. Back to the festival, there were many beautiful girls and boys.

JJ saw CC. In the first sight something changed his heart, his mind. From the eyes go to the heart, it was LOVE.

That's all!

Surabaya

Surabaya is the capital city of East Java province. Formerly Surabaya was called Soerabaja, but then changed with the new Indonesian spelling. It is a city with history. Many tribes live here, Javanesse, Maduras, Chinese, Arabians. The main language used is Surabaya dialect, which is different with common Javanese.

Surabaya is also a second largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. Although it is a large city, it remains the same as before, not too crowded or modern like Jakarta. It still has traditional side among the neighbours, where people care others. This build a good relationship and good environment control for a peaceful and understanding life.

The weather is hot because it located near the sea. In Surabaya there are many interesting places like zoo(it will be better if good-maintained), Monkasel monumen, Kya Kya food bazar. Around Surabaya we can find many interesting outdoor places to go: Tretes, Batu, Malang, Sarangan, Safari Park, Jatim Park.

It is very famous with delicious food. The food typically salty compared to Central Java (Solo, Jogja, Semarang) which is sweet Some and tasty. Foods that only can be found in Surabaya are:
Lontong Kupang
Tahu Campur
Rujak Cingur
Rujak Petis
Rujak Buah
Soto with koya (in other cities they don't use koya)
Now after those foods are famous, we can find in other places outside Surabaya, but still the taste is a bit different.

The other things I like about Surabaya, I lived there for several years. I have friends and spend quality times with friends and family. It’s not only a city, it’s my home. Whenever I go, I always long to back to Surabaya.

Tintin Comic

I’ve mentioned that I like comics/cartoon. One of my favorite is Tintin, a comic originated from Europe (Belgium). The original comics are in French, and later are translated to over 50 languages.

The setting is about Tintin’s adventure to get some news, because he is an reporter. He is brave young man, accompanied by his Terrier dog ‘Snowy’ and his friend Captain Haddock, a hot-tempered sailor who always faces unlucky moments. Professor Cuthbert Calculus join as an absent-minded and half-deaf physicist. Imagine the hot-tempered Captain met the Professor, this is very funny. In the other hand, the detectives Thomson and Thompson who are not twins but looks alike other than their names, with their stupid acts always can get to Tintin’s way when investigating something. Biacan Castafiore is an opera singer who always forgets Captain Haddock names.

Even I read this comic when I was a kid; the content is too heavy for children. It’s suitable for an adult or teenager I guess. After a long time finally I got the comic, and I read them all.

Japanese Drama: OSHIN

I watched this drama years back when I was in elementary school, I guess, a long long time ago. But this drama is so nice and always in my memory.

Oshin was played by
Kobayashi Ayako as little Oshin (age 6 – 10 years old)
Tanaka Yuko as young Oshin (age 16 – 46 years old)
Otowa Nobuko as old Oshin (age 50 – 84 years old)

The central character, Oshin had gone through hard work and perseverance, being born in a very poor rural family, lived in post-ward life where the economic was in turmoil. Through all this the character is developed become more mature and stronger. As a heroin eventually she could gain fame and success.
We can take lesson however difficult is our life when we still alive we can overcome it. The problems in our life make us stronger persons.

Steps in making Artificial Eggs

** Taken from another source **

For egg yolk, some lemon-yellow colouring powder is mixed to a liquid and the concoction stirred. The liquid is then poured into a round-shaped plastic mould and mixed with so-called ‘magic water’, which contains calcium chloride.

This gives the ‘yolk’ a thin outer membrane, firming it up. The egg is then shaped with a mould. The shell is not forgotten. Paraffin wax and an unidentified white liquid are poured onto the fake egg, which is then left to dry.

The artificial egg can be fried sunny-side up or steamed. Although bubbles appear on the white of the egg, those who have tasted it say the fake stuff tastes very much like the real thing.

But experts warn of the danger of eating fake eggs. Not only do they not contain any nutrients, a Hong Kong Chinese University professor warned that long-term consumption of alum could cause dementia.
1. To make the egg white, various ingredients, including a powder and alum, are mixed together.

2. The ‘yolk’ is shaped in the round mould. ‘Magic water’ containing calcium chloride is used.

3. Hardy shells are formed by pouring paraffin wax and a liquid onto the egg, which are then left to dry.

China’s Artificial Eggs

Sep 11, 2007
Recently, China's artificial products have been under the spotlight in Korea. Several mainstream Korean media have reported on the process of making artificial eggs in China, which has stirred up panic and caused great concern among Koreans.
On September 1 and 2, the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) did a documentary titled "Life without products made in China." The show followed the daily lives of three families in South Korea, the US, and Japan who refused to use products made in China. It also talked about rampant artificial eggs products in Chinese markets, catching the interest of the Korean public.

Following the show, Korea's number one newspaper Chosun Ilbo, published an article titled "MBC Special exposes artificial eggs made in China," reporting in detail how the artificial eggs were made.
The Dong-A Ilbo, another Korean newspaper, also published a report titled "Artificial eggs from China made of chemicals appear on the market" on August 14, 2007.
One-Tenth the Cost
According to the report from The Chosun Ilbo, due to the sharp increase in food prices in China, artificial eggs, made only from chemicals with no natural ingredients have appeared in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province.
Mr. Wang, who runs a company that makes food additives, described how artificial eggs were made. "The 'egg white' is made by dissolving sodium alginate in water. It appears to be a transparent viscous liquid and it's hard to distinguish it from real egg white.
"The 'egg yolk' is made by scooping up a liquid with yellow pigment and solidifying the scoop of liquid in a calcium chloride solution. In the end, the 'egg white' and 'egg yolks' are sealed into 'egg shells' made of calcium carbonate.
"If one adds starch or egg yolk powder to the 'egg yolk,' the texture of a artificial egg after it's cooked is almost identical to real eggs."
Wang said it costs only 0.55 yuan (US$0.07) to make more than 2 lbs. of eggs, less than one-tenth the price of real eggs on the market (US$0.8.)
The main ingredients in the artificial eggs are food additives, resin, starch, solidifier, and pigments. Over consumption will damage the stomach and cause symptoms such as loss of memory and mental retardation, etc.
Koreans Are Disenchanted
The special documentary and news report stirred up concerns and panic amongst Koreans. Many Koreans expressed that although products made in China such as clothing, electronics, etc., are inexpensive and have brought convenience to their lives, their quality and safety are indeed worrisome.
Not long ago, toys made in China were taken off the shelves in the supermarkets due to the paint on the toys containing extremely high amounts of heavy metals that threatened children's safety.
Artificial Egg-Making Courses Advertised Online in China
In fact artificial eggs are not something new in China. Training courses for "making artificial eggs" are widespread in Beijing, Henan, Shandong, Hebei, and Guangdong provinces. An Epoch Times reporter did a search on the Internet and found many such advertisements. The classes run from one to two days and tuition ranges from 300 to 800 yuan (US$40-100).
A certain training center in Shangqiu City teaches artificial egg making techniques and gives out free molds with the classes. The training center guarantees that "You can hardly tell the difference in appearance and taste between our product and real eggs."
What's Real Food in China?
A research center based in Fengtai, Beijing, claims that "Our company has been spreading the technology in making artificial eggs. We trained over 70 thousand students in over 20 provinces in the country. We also provide technologies to make "artificial grapes," "artificial beef and chicken," and "making hawthorn flavored candied fruit without using hawthorn fruits."
Following the recent spate of reports on the quality of products made in China, some Koreans have exclaimed, "So what can you eat in China? Indeed the food industry in China is swamped with lies and fraud, hence it is creating a panic amongst consumers."

Note: Please make sure that no artificial eggs are allowed in the market to protect the customers. Money is important, but when the getting rich is done by manipulating and fraud causing other people suffer, it’s not Principle of Economics anymore, but merely greed to adopt technology for one’s benefit.

Sluggard: Vinegar to the Teeth, Smoke to the Eyes

What Bible said about sluggard (laziness), can be found in Proverbs (King James Version):
6:4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.
6:5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
6:8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
10:5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
10:26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
13:4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
20:4 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
26:15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
26:16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

Korean Drama: Smile Again

I just watched this Korean drama. It’s about young people love in the baseball softball world. The drama also took placed in Switzerland with some beautiful scenery as background and French spoken scenery.

Cast:
* Lee Dong Gun as Ban Ha Jin
* Kim Hee Sun as Oh Dan Hee
* Lee Jin Wook as Yoon Jae Myung
* Yoon Se Ah as Choi Yoo Kang

At first I don’t like so much this drama because I don’t like sports. But the lead actress Oh Dan Hee is so sweet, she is getting more beautiful over the time.
This drama has some sad scene:
• When Ban Ha Jin left Oh Dan Hee because Choi Yuu Kang killed her father for the sake of Ban Ha Jin. At that time Oh Dan Hee was waiting for him to come, but he couldn’t fulfilled his promise.
• Sarah Jung (Oh Dan Hee’s mother) was told by the detective she hired that Oh Dan Hee was dead. Sarah Jung cried at hospital, when Oh Dan Hee was hit by an anonymous biker.
• When Ban Ha Jin told Oh Dan Hee that he was only play with her, not really in love with her. He did it in front of Jae Myung and his fater, this is to protect Oh Dan Hee. It was sad for both Oh Dan Hee and Ban Ha Jin.

Sarah Jung is a very beautiful actress, so special and charismatic. Stunning!
The good points of this drama are:
• The soundtrack songs/music is so nice. The song ‘You should try’ or something like that which is played in some happy moments, when Oh Dan Hee was playing/practicing softball/baseball.
• Oh Dan Hee’s character is a very strong young woman. How she forgave his naughty-fat-friend (I forgot his name) who always bellies her because she always can beat him in every chances. She loves Hajin and keep her feeling although Hajin didn’t give her assurance while Jae Myung tried to approach her. She knows it’s difficult to get her love, but she tried the best to build their relationship and to pursue her dream.
• The way Ban Hajin treats Oh Dan Hee is so nice, and full of responsible. He loves her so much that he will not hurt her and try to protect her as he could. The moment when they two together is so sweet, they didn’t say much of sweet-words, but they understand each other.
• Oh Dan Hee’s father. He is a nice man who loves her daughter so much. And he likes Ban Hajin also. Only when Oh Dan Hee was hurted by him than he also didn’t like him so much. But between Jae Myung and Hajin he prefers Hajin. This can be seen at the first episode when Oh Dan Hee was attacked by some man players and that both Hajin and Jae Myung came to help her.

Weird thing about this drama:
• The four Oh Dan Hee, Ban Hajin, Jae Myung, Choi Yuu Kang they were at the same time stayed at Switzerland for different purposes, but the four met there.
• The four again works at the same company, it is Jae Myung’s father’s company. Sarah Jung finally joined there also.

Ending: happy ending for Hajin Oh Dan Hee.

Easy Promise Easy to Break

In this weeks I just met a person, lets him called Andy. He is an ordinary guy, does what people does. Not so special. One thing I got from him, after interacted with him for a job.

He is warm person, so he is easy to make friends. He is friendly, that’s why I’m comfortable with him. So easy to talk, that often he invites me for something, or promises me something with his warm smile. I took his words, of course, why not? If he says something surely he meant it right? He is a man, of course and he doesn’t say it for humor.

Unfortunately, after I took some actions based on his words, he seemed to forget his own words to me earlier. And sometimes it made me uncomfortable. I was shocked, embarrassed, disappointed. I trust him, and he just forgot his words. Well, he is still a good man, but I really learnt something from him.

If I can not or not sure about something, please remind me not to promise something easily. If I am disappointed with Andy’s attitude, I will be better than him. I will try my best not to disappoint other people.

I am Powerless

Last week was good time for me, almost no worry for something that has followed me until now. I had good time for myself just reading or watching some Korean/Japanese drama. I had good time with my friends, learn how to get a long with each other in our big family BIC Bangkok. It’s difficult but not impossible for me. Indeed it become easy compared to what this morning I had.

Now, I really want to do something, not because I like it, simply because of the relationship bound me with a person. I want to do it because it really help me to grow make me a better me. I want to do it because it made me a whole human, not just a walking machine that has no feeling. But a human being is vulnerable, complicated by the feelings and situations involved.

When I want to do it, there are some obstacles I faced. They are:
1. From other persons surrounding us, who maybe unhappy or just innocent to become spirit-killing things for me and block my way to it. I just try to be positive, thinking that they are really naïve-and-innocent-adults.
2. From the target person, sometimes acts so childish, ridiculous and embarrassing. Naturally I will avoid too close to those kind of person, who loves to drag things and make things complicated.
3. From myself. My flesh doesn’t want to humble, my flesh resist to do it, my flesh wants to get its own way. But my heart pushes me to do it, with my condition and situation now which I really have no strength and capability to do it.
When I face the other persons (point no.1), I can’t really think that positive; I’m really on the edge to explode, to say something that will make them realize the positions of everybody.
I could choose not to do it, but when I do it humbling myself it is difficult enough for me not to mention their ‘antique response and attitudes’.

When I am not comfortable but I must stay in that situation sometimes it makes me angry. But I must keep silent and it’s very annoying. It’s better than saying something that hurts other people and regret it someday. I cannot change my environment (point no. 1), I can not change him (point no. 2) but I can change myself. If I can’t stand with it the worst is I will cry, cry to Heavenly Father who always there for me.

Note: I hope when you read this you're not confused.

Healing Movement in Bangkok

The poster was in Thai
Bangkok, September 19, 2007

On Wednesday we have Healing Movement crusades by Ps. Ir. Niko Njotorahardjo from Indonesia with his team. It was so so wonderful moment. People felt God's presence, God's love and they were healed, restored. Not only their health but also their mind, their broken heart and broken relationship.
Unlike our prediction before, which some of the committee expected aroung 600 people attended. The reality it was aroung 1000, many of them just stood or sat on the floor because more people than the capacity of the room.

Mr. Welyar Kauntu was the worship leader as seen from the picture.

I was on my duty doing the multimedia at that time. At the beginning there was problem with the IBM laptop, it refused to work! Together with Mas Apri finally he could fix it. Fortunately the worship leader knew and helped us control the situation. I really got blessing that night, even I couldn't see the healing. There were so many people in front of me, and I was concentrate with the songs.

When people put hopes on God, He will do something great. Praise Him all the earth.

Trapped in Traffic Light for 1 Hour

This is my experience in Bangkok in last August 2007, end of month. I had a prayer meeting somewhere in Petchburi road, and I took bus from to go there. It was Friday, and usually every Friday when it is end of month also it means VERY VERY BAD TRAFFIC JAM. Heard a lot about this. As I don't go around a lot, I just smile when people got mad about it.

This picture is for illustration about the traffic jam, not the situation here though.

And it was so so BAD. The climax was at the traffic light at the Ekkamai junction. The traffic light didn't move. Stick to the red color. well, it did blinked for several seconds, but it seems didn't affects the lines. First 10 minutes, 20 minutes, the passenger started boring. When I saw the lines before usm WOW as far as I can see Petchburi road it was full of cars.

At that time I had some snacks with me. So while waiting I ate them. I thought to got off and change bus, but it would be the same. It was not the bus's broblem, it's because of the traffic and traffic light arrangement. The traffic light is controlled manually, I guess. The officers or somebody let the other direction to go first and it created UNFAIR arrangment for our lines.
Finally, I checked it was nearly one hour to get 200 metres from the first spot. I got to my destination just about 9 pm which supposed to be 7.30 pm, very late.

Guess this is a patience lesson for me? At that time I couldn't think like this, but now I could think that well I need to control my emotions also and it was a good experience.

Have you ever face this situation?
